Scientific name: Frozen fish fillet blocks are rectangularly shaped masses of cohering fish fillets or pieces or both. Frozen minced fish blocks are rectangularly shaped masses of minced fish flesh. Minced fish flesh is mechanically separated fish flesh. Laminated fish blocks are rectangularly shaped masses of a mixture of cohering fish fillets, fillets pieces and minced fish flesh. Laminated blocks usually contain between 10% and 25% minced fish flesh. Standard size block is 7,4 kg. Some blocks may contain flesh from more than one species. Used in the manufacture of Fish sticks or fingers, and Fish portions, Formed fillets, or Fish nuggets (see also Fillet).
